Fuji music star, Wasiu Alabi Odetola aka Pasuma Wonder is 48 years old today, November 27, 2015.
The Fuji maestro was born and brought up in Mushin, Lagos, where he attended Muslim Mission Primary School from 1973 to 1979.After this,Pasuma moved to Nigerian Model High School for his secondary education.
Popularly called Oganla(Big Boss) by his fans, the indigene of Kwara State started developing signs of taking music as a career while in secondary school and was said to have adopted the name Pasuma Wonder after the CEO of Heavy Sounds, Adeola Omotayo, likened his energy on stage to energy derived from an enhancement drug called Pasuma Strong.His debut album titled ‘Recognition’ in 1993 bought him into limelight.Since then,he has been a figure to reckon with in Fuji music. In 1994, he released a follow-up album, Choices, before his hit album, Orobokibo, was released in 1995, which earned him several awards including the award for The Best Fuji Artiste of The Year.
With successful a career spanning over three decades, Pasuma has paid his dues and has continued to garner accolades from all over. He is also one the most successful crossover musicians in the industry having released his debut hip-hop album which features some of the biggest pop artistes in Nigeria.He is one of the most successful musicians in Nigeria.
