Prince Abubakar Audu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives
Party (APC) in yesterday’s election in Kogi State, died as early as
6.30 a.m on Sunday, SIGNAL can report.
A source informed about the matter who did not want to be named disclosed to SIGNAL that Mr. Audu started vomiting blood on Friday night in what was initially considered a case of suspected food poisoning. According to findings by SIGNAL, Mr. Audu was also hypertensive.
“He started vomiting blood after he returned from Lokoja,” said a family source who witnessed Mr. Audu’s deterioration.
He was certified dead at about 6.30 am Sunday morning.
